Mental Health Exercise
Our Therapies
Exercise for your mind as well as your body
Finding movement that works for you
The program is built around what you will actually keep doing. Your Exercise Physiologist will explore options with you: walking, resistance training, yoga based movement, breathing exercises, or getting outside and moving. Consistency and how you feel matter here; sets, reps and performance do not. We also explain why exercise affects mental health, because the program is easier to stick with when it makes sense to you.
Your first session
It is a conversation. We talk about your mental health, your relationship with exercise, any barriers or fears you have, and what you hope to change. There is no physical test unless you want one. After that, sessions are gentle and built around what feels right for you on the day. Once a week is typical, with simple activities to try in between.
Who this program suits
This program suits anyone experiencing depression, anxiety, chronic stress, or low mood. You may be referred under a GP Mental Health Care Plan, through NDIS psychosocial support, or you can contact us directly. No fitness background is needed.
