The North Sydney Working Week Has Its Own Injury List
Desk neck and screen shoulder
Eight hours at a screen loads the neck and upper back the same way every day. We treat the pain, strengthen the postural muscles and sort out the workstation so it stops.
Lunchtime and foreshore runners
The harbour foreshore and Bradfield Park produce steady runners, and steady runners produce calf, Achilles, knee and hip complaints. Diagnosis, then a graded loading plan.
Posture, stress and headaches
Tension-type headaches and jaw tightness often track with desk posture. Physiotherapy addresses both the tissue and the habit.
Returning after surgery or injury
If you are rebuilding after an operation or a long-term problem, exercise physiology gives you the structured strength work to return to full capacity.
Where Can You See a North Sydney Physio?
North Sydney clients can access physiotherapy at home, at work, via telehealth, or at iRehab’s nearby clinics in Five Dock and North Rocks.
At your workplace
Mobile therapists treat in offices across North Sydney, Kirribilli, Milsons Point and the surrounding lower North Shore, around your meeting schedule.
At home
The same clinical assessment and treatment, delivered at your door. Equipment included.
By telehealth
Exercise reviews, program progression and pain management by video when travel makes no sense at all.
In clinic
Two iRehab clinics serve the wider area: Five Dock (451 Lyons Rd W, Five Dock NSW 2046) and North Rocks (328-336 N Rocks Rd, North Rocks NSW 2151).
What a Mobile Physio Visit to a North Sydney Office Involves
- What we need from you. A room with a door that closes and floor space of roughly two metres square. A meeting room, a wellness room or a quiet corner office all work. A treatment plinth is not required; we bring a portable one where the building allows it, and where it does not, the assessment adapts.
- How long it takes. An initial appointment runs longer than a follow-up because the assessment is the appointment. Follow-ups are shorter and can generally be fitted between meetings.
- What actually happens. History, movement and strength testing, hands-on treatment where it is indicated, and your first exercises taught in the room. For desk-related problems the therapist also looks at your actual workstation, which is the one thing a clinic appointment cannot do.

When Is Telehealth Physio Genuinely Worth It?
Telehealth suits exercise prescription, program progression, pain education and review appointments. It does not suit a first assessment of an undiagnosed problem where the therapist needs hands on the joint.
Well suited to video
Progressing an existing program, checking exercise technique, reviewing a flare-up, load and training advice for runners, and follow-up appointments where the diagnosis is already established.
Better in person
A first assessment of a new injury, anything needing manual therapy or dry needling, balance and falls assessment, and post-surgical checks where range of motion is being measured.
What you need
A phone, tablet or laptop with a camera, and enough space to be seen standing and moving. That is all.
Medicare and telehealth
Some allied health telehealth items exist under chronic condition management arrangements, and eligibility depends on the specific item rules. Your therapist will confirm whether your appointment qualifies before you book it rather than after.

Mobile physio across Sydney
If getting to a clinic is the barrier, iRehab Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists visit homes, aged care facilities, retirement villages and workplaces across Sydney. Therapists bring the equipment needed for each session.
For North Sydney Employers and Workplace Health Managers
If you manage people rather than book for yourself, iRehab works with employers on the musculoskeletal side of workplace health.
On-site appointments. Therapists attend your building for individual staff appointments, which removes the travel time that stops people going at all.
Injured worker rehabilitation. Treatment under NSW workers compensation with reporting to your insurer and communication about duties and capacity. See WorkCover, CTP and DVA.
Workstation and task assessment. Assessment of an individual’s set-up and the tasks that are aggravating the problem, with written recommendations.
What we do not do. We are not a corporate wellness vendor and we do not run one-off lunchtime seminars as a sales exercise. The work is clinical.
Funding Your North Sydney Physio
Medicare Chronic Condition Management Plans provide up to 5 subsidised allied health visits per calendar year for chronic conditions; physiotherapy and exercise physiology both count. The GPCCMP replaced the old EPC-style GP Management Plans from 1 July 2025, with existing plans valid until 30 June 2027. Source: Services Australia (https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/requirements-for-chronic-condition-management-plan?context=20).
A First Appointment Built for Busy People
- Book online or by phone. Tell us workplace, home or video.
- Assessment. Full history and movement testing; diagnosis without imaging in most cases.
- Treatment starts immediately. Manual therapy plus your first exercises.
- A plan that fits the calendar. Written program, realistic session frequency, funding sorted.
How Many Appointments Will You Need, and When Can You Have Them?
Frequency.
Weekly at the start, then fortnightly as things settle, then a review. The intensive phase is short.
Timing.
Mobile and telehealth appointments are arranged around working schedules. Clinic hours are Monday to Friday at North Rocks and Monday to Saturday at Five Dock, so Saturday at Five Dock is the option for people who cannot move a weekday.
The honest part.
The exercises between appointments do more work than the appointments do. A program that needs twenty minutes three times a week and gets done beats a program that needs an hour daily and does not. Your therapist will build the one you will actually do.
If you travel for work.
Tell us at the first appointment. Programs can be written to run without equipment, and reviews can happen by video from anywhere.
