Does the NDIS fund physiotherapy, and who qualifies?

Yes. Physiotherapy is a funded NDIS support. It falls under Capacity Building ,  Improved Daily Living (CB Daily Living) in your NDIS plan. To access NDIS physiotherapy, you must have an NDIS plan with funding allocated to this category and a goal related to improving your physical function, mobility, or independence.

NDIS physiotherapy in Sydney is for participants of all ages whose disability affects their movement, strength, balance, or ability to perform everyday tasks. It is not general physiotherapy for a sports injury or a short-term condition. It is specifically for disability-related physical support needs that are directly linked to your NDIS plan goals.

  • Your support coordinator or Local Area Coordinator (LAC)

  • Your support workers (so they can reinforce exercises between sessions)
